From the 21st to the 24th of October, the DECUS consortium met in Montebelluna (Italy), for an inspiring in-person teacher training! ✨
High-school teachers from Belgium, Greece and Italy gathered together with experts to dive into decolonial education practices, sharing and exchanging ideas, resources, and strategies to bring new decolonial perspectives into the classrooms. 📚💡
Together after some hard days of empirical work, research, and exchange, the group took some time to explore Venice with a decolonial walking tour kindly led by one of the Italian teachers, followed by a lecture at the Ca’ Foscari University with Professor Shaul Bassi.
This trip was an incredible opportunity for educators to connect, learn, and grow together. The journey is far from over – DECUS continues to inspire and shape a more inclusive future for education across Europe! 🌍💫
